The Equus, an Aqua Boutique Hotel, is a 2.5-star property located near the gateway of Waikiki and is Aqua Hotels & Resorts newest boutique hotel. Formerly the Hawaii Polo Inn, The Equus has been beautifully renovated and offers all the fantastic amenities that all Aqua properties are known for. Over a century ago, this property used to be part of a private refuge for Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys) coming into town. Now the property has a great location near the gateway of Waikiki, close to shopping, the beach, dining and entertainment.

The lobby of The Equus is on the second floor, requiring you to carry your suitcases up one level, but once you get there, you'll find warm, helpful and welcoming staff in a beautifully decorated hotel. The property's narrow, heated splash pool is located amidst tropical greenery, creating a serene atmosphere to relax in after a long day of exploring the island.

The 68 guestrooms at The Equus feature a mostly equestrian theme with dark wood furniture and framed photographs of Polo events. Room types include the Polo Double (326 sq. feet) with two double beds; the Polo King (264 sq. feet) with a king bed and a private lanai; and the Bamboo Queen, located exclusively on the 7th and 8th floors with tropical décor, bamboo furnishings and a queen bed.
