The 5-star Kahala Hotel & Resort stands in a class by itself. An unbelievable location, beautiful rooms, elegance, luxury and a professional and caring staff with renowned attention to service are all part of this wonderful premier resort. Both adults and children will delight in a unique Dolphin Encounter (fee) at the resort's 26,000 square foot natural lagoon, home to Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins. Participants get into the water and meet the animals up close in a supervised swim. The hotel also offers a complimentary resort shuttle to Ala Moana, Waikiki and Kahala Mall, fitness center, spa services and a pool side bar.
Many additional complimentary amenities are also available, including bicycles, bottled water for runners, CD player and head set at the pool, CD, VHS and DVD library, introductory scuba and surfing lessons, newspapers in the lobby, wireless internet access and much more. For families, half and full day programs (fee) are available at the Kahala's Keiki Club, where children participate in activities and learn about the natural wonders of Hawaii as well as legends and traditions of Hawaiian culture.
The Kahala Hotel & Resort has 343 guestrooms and suites that are extremely spacious and designed in a traditional Hawaiian style with a modern twist. A feeling of warmth and comfort is evoked by the handsome mixture of teak parquet floors, hand loomed area rugs, wood furniture, grass cloth wall coverings and a blend of rich fabrics. All rooms have an option for a four poster bed and feature views of the Ko'olau Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, Diamond Head, Koko Head Crater or the lagoon.
The beds include Egyptian combed cotton Frette linen and goose down duvets. Bathrooms are oversized with bathrobes and slippers, a separate glass shower, deep soaking tub and designer toiletries, dual closets and two separate vanity areas.
